Traveling on the road is like going through a magic land in the fall

The fall in New England is very special. The colors in the eastern part of the state of Connecticut, referred to by locals as "the quiet corner" have always been beautiful. The first picture is in Willimantic while the 2nd and 3rd are taken in the neighboring town of Mansfield. This area is an amazing combination of the old and the new and offers a life style that is a little less rushed than many today. I will attempt to share some of my vision of this community with you through the global gallery by sharing some local events.

On October 17 some 1200 members of the greater community participated in a 24 hour relay to raise money for the fight against cancer. Below is a photo from the luminary ceremony that was done as part of the relay. Paper bags with candles in them were lit and placed in a circle around the high school athletic field track. Each bag had the name of a person who died from cancer. All the field lights were turned out and volunteers read the names of all these friends and family members who were lost.

I have a gallery of additional photographs that you are invited to view. You can contact me via email at tmason@thecomputerfarm.com
