Moon Rising on Jupiter
Jupiter is the largest planet and appears as the brightest object in the sky after the sun and the moon. It is further than either but because of its size it is very bright. With a pair of binoculars you can see 4 of its moons on a clear night. This is a photo taken with the Agfa 1680e using a Celestron 8 telescope to make the image of Jupiter visible with three of its major moons. To get this exposure it was neccessary to use manual exposure and reduse the exposure to the full negative adjustment. This was due to a shortcoming in the metering system of the camera being able to adjust between a large black area and one bright spot in the center. Unsharp mask was used to enhance the image. Instructions for the telescope adapter are available.
